Ceramic Foam Filters are porous ceramic filters manufactured by impregnating a sponge carrier with ceramic slurry, followed by high-temperature calcination. They are primarily used in the foundry industry to filter molten metal during casting, removing non-metallic inclusions to improve casting quality and yield. Common materials include silicon carbide, alumina, and zirconia.
Our products feature high dimensional accuracy and excellent strength at both room and elevated temperatures, as well as outstanding thermal shock resistance and chemical stability. With a porosity of up to 80%, they effectively purify molten metal, enhancing the performance and quality of castings.
